Cave Art Plaques

 In 6th grade, I follow the social studies curriculum  timeline.  Right now, students are learning about prehistoric life and cave art paintings.  We learned lots of interesting facts about Chauvet cave in France.  Students rolled out balls of terracotta clay.  After the clay dried, they drew animals on the clay plaques using charcoal and chalk pastels, just like the artists in prehistoric times.
