We recently completed another challenge with Students Rebuild. This year, the Literacy Challenge encouraged students to create bookmarks for children in impoverished countries. For every bookmark created, the Bezos Foundation donated $1.00. The fund were used for educational resources and the bookmarks were given to children in Peru, Mali, and Nepal. We sent over 400 bookmarks earlier this year. I was so excited the other day to go onto Pinterest and noticed a pin of our bookmarks, with our school listed as the SRLiteracy Challenge Team of the Week. Very cool!
