New Book Read

I read the book Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell on the plane ride during our recent school trip to Los Angeles.  I was intrigued by the theory of 10,000 hours of practice vs. innate talent.  I've decided to make the chapter required reading for my Art III and IV classes.  Hopefully, I can budget to purchase a class set of the book for next year so we can read the book as a class.
After reading the chapter about 10,000 of practice, students were asked to write a response to the chapter and choose a side of the debate.  Some students responded by writing in ways I did not expect, (but enjoyed!) such as reciting poetry and singing a song on a ukulele.
