Literacy Challenge With Students Rebuild

Middle school students recently participated in the Students Rebuild Literacy Challenge.  We decided to make the challenge a whole-school effort, not just limited to students currently taking art.  Miss Markakis trained student peer leaders who then shared the lesson with classmates during their advisory period.  Teachers and students created the bookmarks all in one day during advisory period.  We mailed 422 bookmarks to Students Rebuild, raising $422 for children's literacy programs in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.  To find out more about how the program works, go to: http://studentsrebuild.org/find-challenge/literacy-challenge/about-challenge
