With the funding from the State of NJ "Arts Integration Grant", we've established an after-school program for students in 6th grade. The after-school program has been named "Acropolis Academy". Students will be involved in a series of arts-integrated activities involving language arts, science, and social students. Our theme is ancient Greece. To kick off the program, we traveled to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC for a guided tour of the ancient Greek galleries. Most of our students were visiting the Met for the first time. Some of them had never been to NYC before, so it was quite an adventure. Definitely a great way to bond with students and start the program
