The Plaque Makes it Official!

     Last year, we found out that we had received the Frederick L. Hipp grant from the NJ Education Association.  Mrs. Smith (formerly Mrs. Duke) received the plaque at a special awards banquet at the NJEA Convention 2 weeks ago.
     The grant will provide funds for our "Laying Bricks: A Foundation for Friendship" project.  The students with autism will be paired with "LEGO leader" peers to create self-portraits using LEGO bricks.  The final works will be displayed at the Perkins Center for the Arts in Collingswood in May.
