We are so proud to be a part of the One Million Bones project. Our students created over 100 bones in class and studied genocide in their Social Studies classes. On Monday, we will travel to Washington DC to see our work displayed at the National Mall. As part of the One Million Bones Advocacy Day, we will be meeting with Senator Menendez and his staff to discuss ending genocide in countries such as The Congo and Sudan, among others. Senator Menendez, US Senator for NJ, is Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. This will undoubtedly be a memorable experience for everyone involved. I can't wait to get back to share our experience with you!
