Championing Creatively Alive Children

In the 2010-11 school year, Mrs. Winkler was part of a team awarded a "Championing Creatively Alive Children" grant sponsored by Crayola and the National Association of Elementary School Principals.

After receiving the grant, Crayola asked that we be filmed for some promotional materials about infusing creativity into curriculum.  We were honored and featured in a short video:

Then, we were asked to be filmed again.  This time, Crayola wanted to create a professional development series about creativity in schools.  Our school is highlighted in the video under the "Creativity Training Module":

Later, Mrs. Winkler was honored to be a judge for the 2011-12 grant applicants.  In August 2011, the team was honored in Washington DC at an invitation-only event sponsored by Crayola.  Below are some pictures of this event.
