In 6th grade art, we have been discussing the paintings of Chauvet Cave in France. Students rolled out slabs of air dry terracotta clay. Once the clay was almost dry, they incised the clay and then drew on it with chalk pastels. Each student now has their own mini cave painting.

I am a teacher at Collingswood Middle School and High School in Collingswood, NJ. Collingswood is a suburb of Philadelphia.
I love teaching art to my students and I want to share our experience with you.
