As part of our unit on Street Art, 7th and 8th grade students studied the work of artist Buff Diss. Diss creates murals using only masking tape. An example of his work is on the left.
Students broke into small groups of 3-4 students and worked collaboratively on a design for their murals. Each group was given a different color of masking tape. They were told that they could use any part of the wall, floor, and ceiling in their area.
While students are working as a group, each student is responsible for one element within the mural. Below are photos of one of the murals in progress.
