It's back to school time and that means a lot of shopping. Here's what students will need in art:
Middle school students will not need to buy anything. All supplies will be provided.
Art II students will only need an art bin. You can buy the actual "art bin" brand, like the one pictured, or you can buy any plastic container (like a tackle box or toolbox) that has several compartments. You can find these bins at any art supply store, Target, Walmart, and Staples. They usually cost about $17.00. You will be given all of our supplies for the year to store in your bin. In addition, you will also receive a sketchbook and large portfolio envelope to store your artwork. Once you receive your art supplies, you may purchase additional supplies if you wish and store them in your bin. You can take the bin home at any time, but you must have it in school for every class. If you lose the supplies, sketchbook, or portfolio, they will need to be replaced at your cost.
Art III and IV students will only need to bring in their bins from last year. You will also receive a sketchbook and portfolio envelope. If you wish to oil paint, we have a very limited supply in the classroom. You may also consider purchasing some nice brushes to keep in your bin for the year.
Photojournalism students will need the following: a notebook, a three ring binder, and a flash drive.
